Large TV StandsIf you’re looking to purchasing a brand new TV stand for your new LCD TV, you should really take a seat and put your entire thought into thinking through the kind of TV stand you’ll need.Perhaps you’ve already got a rough idea on what would suite your living room the best. One of the most important considerations is the size of your TV stand. So, getting large tv stands for your large tv might be a good choice. New LCD and plasma TVs usually come in a very bulky size. We’re not talking about the thickness right now, or how slim the TV is, but rather the overall length of it. Surely size does matter in this case, and logically you should go for a large TV stand. Our TVs sure are getting slimmer and slimmer, but only in one of the dimensions. The remaining two dimensions are surely getting bigger with time. We’re no longer talking about 40-inch TVs anymore. Few years back, a 40-inch TV would be considered large. Right now, the consumers are pushing ahead with nothing short of 52-inch TVs. If your TV stand is not large enough, the only thing you’ll be placing on top of it is probably your TV. Slim TVs actually does take up less space on your TV stand, but you wouldn’t place anything in front of the screen right? It’s just a total no-brainer to place something to obstruct your view of the TV screen. Surely your wide screen TV is not the only one item for your home entertainment set. At this point of time, the reason for the being of your TV is not just for you to watch analog TV programs via the antenna on top of your roof. Your entertainment set should not be short of at least a DVD player, a satellite decoder, a decent sound system and a digital music player. Where else would all these items belong if not on your TV stand? A large TV stand is therefore needed to house your entire home entertainment set. Let’s face it, that DVD player of yours just wouldn’t sit nicely on the floor beside a small TV stand. Large TV stands often come with additional side shelves for you to place stuffs like book and decorative items. These attached shelves are a part of the TV stand itself. With the matching designs, the shelves simply add the value to your TV stand with additional functionalities. You could also save yourself a whole lot of time without having to search further for matching cabinets or racks to match your TV stand or other furniture in your living room. If you only have a small living room in your home, a large TV stand may not be the best choice. Instead, you might want to consider wall mount tv stands. Unless of course you’re sticking to simplicity with only few pieces of furniture in your living room, which might be a good idea since it’ll be less crowded. Homes with a large living room should have a TV stand to complement its size. Otherwise, your large living room would seem too spacious that it might feel rather empty. Just to conclude, you should get large TV stands for all the right reasons. Size really does matter. |
